Opal aka Opalite
The majority of the earth’s opalite date’s back 50-65 million years from the Cretaceous period. Opal’s range of colours often depends on it region of origin. The gemstone can appear is various hues and colours ranging from semi-transparent to opaque, though the most common colour is opaque. Traditionally opalite is set in gold due to the gem’s exceptionally high price point, at Vivah Jewellery we offer simulated Australian Opal which beautifully mimics the luster of the genuine gemstone.
